  1. Yeasts were inoculated into 2 mls of SC-glucose medium and grew at 30°C overnight. The overnight cultures were diluted with SC-glucose medium to O.D. at 600 nm 0.1 and returned to 30°C with shaking. The O.D. 600 nm reading was monitored throughout the day until it was more 1. Doubling time was calculated as described in table 2.
