Cellular location of DmSnR60 and snm60 molecules. Top-left panel: whole mount in situ hybridization of DmSnR60 specific probes to adult ovaries. DmSnR60 molecules are detected at all stages of oogenesis, in the nurse and the follicle cells (see enlargement on bottom-right). Analysis of the large polyploid nurse-cell nuclei reveals that the DmSnR60 molecules are located in the peripheral nucleolar structures.
