  1. Supplements added to the chondrocyte culture medium on days 5 and 6 of the culture period are presented. Either glucosamine, curcumin or diacerein were used as chondroprotective agent (CPA) in 3 separate experiments. Each experiment followed the presented setup of 7 different study groups.
  2. IL-1β, 10 ng/ml recombinant human interleukin-1beta; [c]1, low concentration of glucosamine (50 μM), curcumin (5 μM) or diacerein (5 μM); [c]2, high concentration of glucosamine (5 mM), curcumin (50 μM) or diacerein (50 μM).
