Enhancement of plasmid expression in muscle by electroporation as a function of voltage. Luciferase expression in gastrocnemius muscle of C57BL/6 mice after injection of 50 μg pAdapt Luc followed by electroporation (black bars), injection of 50 μg pAdapt Luc (striped bar), and injection of saline (white bar). The luciferase activity was determined 2 days after the treatment. The values show the mean of three separate experiments. Data are expressed as means ± SD.
