Heatmap visualization of the ratios of the transcripts of the us1-KO and the wt viruses normalized to the relative copy number of the DNAs (R rn = R us1KO :R DNA-us1KO /R wt :R DNA-wt ). The Rrn values were very low in the first 2 h pi. There was a drastic change in the period 4–6 h pi, when the Rrn values became high. In the last stage of infection, the gene expressions became the same in the two viruses.
