Heatmap visualization of the ratios of the transcripts of the us1-KO and the wt viruses (R r = R us1KO /R wt ). The red color (Rr < 1) indicates a transcript level that is lower in the mutant than in the wt virus at a certain period of infection, whereas the black (Rr > 1) indicates the opposite: the mutant virus produces a higher amount of mRNA than the wt virus.
