Lane M, protein standard (PageRuler™ Prestained Protein Ladder Plus (Thermo Fisher Scientific (Fermentas); lane TsoIWT, wt TsoI (2 units); lanes 1 and 4, samples prepared directly from two E. coli ER2566 colonies resulting from transformation with the same pET21NS-TsoIRM plasmids, before induction; lanes 2 and 5, the same as in lanes 1 and 3, but after IPTG induction (soluble fraction); lanes 3 and 6, the same as in lanes 2 and 5 (insoluble fraction).
