  1. Examining 49 recombinant offspring at hotspot Kcnq1, which is not recombinationally imprinted, showed DSBs can occur on both the paternal and maternal. However, at hotspot Cdkn1c, a recombinationally imprinted hotspot, 6 of the 7 recombinants were initiated on the paternal chromosome giving suggestive evidence that DSBs is also subjected to meiotic imprinting (p < 0.13).
