  1. GeNorm calculates the minimum number of genes required for accurate normalisation. In this case, two genes were sufficient (V2/3 = 0.04). The number of genes necessary for accurate normalisation is defined as the point at which the addition of a gene has a non-significant effect on the calculation of the normalisation factor, the threshold for a non-significant difference being 0.15.
